Why you teach fitness?
I am in this industry to prove to you that fitness is fun and that you can do it, my goals are to motivate and challenge you to do something you didn't think was possible.

When you're not at the park, what can we find you doing?
Laying horizontal ... Im at the park alot. I love game nights, and movie nights with friends, camping and playing ball.

What's your favourite exercise, what's your favourite exercise you like other people to do?
My favourite exercise is the BURPEE all BURPEES! Even the power burpees, and burpees on the medicine ball, it's a whole body experience. I love getting others to try new exercises and hearing them say..... 'oh I can't do that'.. then they do it. That's my favourite part.

Greatest accomplishment to date?
Creating a positive and successful little fitness company that I am so proud of.

Who inspires you?
People who accomplish goals from beginning to end and beyond.

Jennifer Duarte

Jennifer DuarteJennifer Duarte was given the opportunity to teach a few fitness classes in 2011 and loved every minute of it!  After that she was hooked.  She is a BCRPA certified group fitness instructor teaches super fun Outdoor Fitness classes at Colwood Creek Park in the Westshore. She would like to become certified in other specialty modules, and her next goal is to become a personal trainer and a weight loss coach.

Why do you teach fitness?
Fitness became a huge part of my life throughout my weight loss journey and now it's one of my favourite things to do!  I want to be a role model for people who struggle with their weight, and if I can help one person find the love of fitness in their journey, I've reached my goal :)

When you're not at the park, what can we find you doing?
You'll find me participating in fitness classes, watching sports, cooking & baking, travelling, spending time with my family, and hanging out with my husband and our three cats.

What's your favourite exercise, What's your favourite exercise you like other people to do?
I don't think I have a favourite exercise, I'm up for anything - even burpees (yes, really!)  As for what I prefer seeing other people do.. whatever makes them sweat and groan!

Greatest accomplishment to date?
Losing 120lbs!!!

Who inspires you?
I don't know if any one person inspires me.  I am inspired through other people's stories and through my life experiences.

Sydney Dover

Carolyn MacdonaldSydney Dover, born and raised in the fitness world, she has been in dance since she was able to walk. Sydney is originally from Edmonton and decided to take on personal training on the west coast in the summer of 2013. She recently became a fan of trail running and has competed in races such as Tough Mudder, The Death Race, and Sinister 7

Why do you teach fitness?
I love fitness and sharing ideas with other people. It's not just challenging for my clients, it's a great challenge for me as well. I really enjoy helping motivate and push people to reach their goals.

When you're not at the park, what can we find you doing?
You can find me in the trails with my pup! We go for lots of hikes around town and when I have a "lazy day" I am at the beach soaking up the sun.

What's your favourite exercise, what's your favourite exercise you like other people to do?
I love doing abs. Any kind of ab exercise is great! I'd have to pick crunches as my number one. I can do those for hours! As for teaching others, I have so much fun getting people to try out the bosu ball. It's so much fun adding a bit of balance training to a regular exercise.

Greatest accomplishment to date?
I have to say that my greatest accomplishment to date is getting myself to say that I can help others. I'm pretty proud that I motivated myself to be a trainer.

Who inspires you?
:) my old man. I'm very inspired that my dad made a very life changing goal. Only 12 years ago he tried to run for 10 minutes.. Now he can run a 125 km race. That just amazes me.
